WoW PvE Doesn't Get Any Better Than Hardcore

Being simplistic is not the same as being easy. The way in which enemies are scaled in Hardcore WoW means that pulling even one additional pack can be deadly. While in retail, where players can land, pull, and defeat dozens of enemies, a more careful approach is required in Hardcore. High mob density areas present challenges in the way a player approaches them, using their class toolkit to carefully engage in winnable fights or escape unexpected ones. Caves feel like dungeons all on their own with fast respawn times and limited room to escape or control a fight.
